Fire Dragon Academy was founded in December 2015 and is a volunteer-based, non-profit 501 (c3) organization. Fire Dragon Academy seeks to provide a high-quality soccer program for Chinese American youth within both recreational and competitive (Academy and Select) programs and playing structures. The Academy’s coaches are all parent volunteers. They are actively dedicated to generating community interests in soccer, and creating opportunities for peer support and leadership development.

The Academy was the first soccer program created for the Chinese American community in metro Atlanta, Georgia. Fire Dragon Academy started with 10 members and grew to over 100 active members in 2022. We have been providing year-round free soccer training sessions for soccer players age 4U-15U of all skill levels.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the challenges that many Chinese Americans have faced, Fire Dragon Academy worked together with community members to ensure that children have access to high quality remote learning and enrichment opportunities during school closures.
